YLSA of New York City--the play The Cripple of Inishmaan
“The Cripple of Inishmaan” was written by Irish playwright and director Martin McDonagh, and is described as a "comic masterpiece" by one of Ireland's most important living playwrights. The play is set on the remote West coast of Ireland, on a small island called Inishmaan, where the locals are sent into a flurry upon hearing news that a Hollywood film is set to filmed on the nearby island of Inishmore. Radcliffe stars as young Cripple Billy who is desperate to be in the film - much to everyone's amusement - as it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity and a welcome escape from the hardship of his everyday life. Directed by Michael Grandage.
