Global Constitutionalism Seminar at Yale Law School
Supreme Court and Constitutional Court judges from around the world gather at Yale Law School to take part in the School's Global Constitutionalism Seminar each fall. September 2006 marked the Seminar's tenth anniversary as the judges met for four days in a seminar-style setting to discuss topics such as national law and customary international law, the role of judicial review, democratic constitutionalism, and political parties and democratic pluralism.
The Global Constitutionalism Seminar is one of the Law School's signature international programs and has been heralded as an important forum in which leading jurists can confidentially and freely discuss the most important current legal issues with leading academic lawyers. This year's participants included judges from Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
