Community and Economic Development Clinic
The Community and Economic Development Clinic (CED) is a transactional clinic that addresses community and economic development in the greater New Haven area. CED acts as legal counsel to two kinds of organizations — local small businesses and local nonprofit organizations—that deal with community development issues, such as housing development corporations, schools, public health promoters, and affordable housing agencies.
There are two main working groups: Small Business Legal Services and Nonprofit Organization Services. CED provides these clients with advice and representation in regard to business planning, corporate and tax law compliance, management and operations, negotiations, and public policy research and analysis.
