Lectures & Events
The Law School sponsors two lectureships with an explicitly international focus:
- The endowed Sherrill Lecture features distinguished visitors with special expertise in international law and international relations.
- The Robert L. Bernstein Lecture in International Human Rights brings to campus lawyers, activists, and theorists involved in human rights.
International perspectives are also increasingly central to the concerns of many other guests each year, including Dean’s Lecturers, workshop participants, and speakers invited by various student groups. In early 2005, Paul Ruesesabagina, the subject of the feature film Hotel Rwanda, lectured to an audience of more than 850 people about his experiences during the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
