Public Interest Fellowships
Yale
Law School’s CDO is a leader in recognizing the importance of public interest post-graduate fellowships as an entry into public interest careers, and in providing information and guidance on applying for these positions. YLS students and graduates regularly obtain such prestigious fellowships as Skadden, EJW, and ACLU. CDO produces the Public Interest Fellowships Guide (YLS Version). To learn more about YLS sponsored public interest fellowships, one can refer to the Yale Public Interest Fellowship Opportunities Brochure. Students and Alumni can also view streaming videos of CDO's Programs on Fellowships, by clicking here.

CDO has created TRI-PI (Travel Reimbursement for Interviews in the Public Interest) which reimburses 3L students for travel expenses, up to $400, to public interest interviews. Contact Juliann Davis in the Career Development Office at 432-1676 for guidelines on this program.

Career Fairs
Each year, the Career Development Office pays the registration fees and travel expenses for any students wishing to participate in the Equal JusticeWorks Career Fair and Conference in Washington DC in October, and the NYU Public Interest Career Fair in New York City in February. Contact Robyn Acampora, Pro Bono and Information Manager, at robyn.acampora@yale.edu or 203-432-7224 for more information about these fairs.

Public Interest Job Search Reimbursement
CDO reimburses students for fax or telephone charges incurred in their search for a public interest job (excluding judicial clerkships).
