Submissions


The Yale Journal of Law & the Humanities welcomes submissions from authors writing about any subject at the nexus of law and the humanities. We accept only electronic submissions. All submissions should be e-mailed to us at yalejlh@gmail.com.

 

Guidelines

 

Authors submitting manuscripts should provide a Microsoft Word document with double-spaced text. Given that our review procedure is blind, authors should remove any identifying information from the manuscript.

We confirm receipt of manuscripts and contact authors regarding final decisions by e-mail. We aim to give each author a final decision within 6-8 weeks (though this period may be longer for authors submitting during the summer or around the winter holiday period). All submissions are reviewed by our Editorial Board. Some pieces are also reviewed by our entire membership and/or by members of the Advisory Board.

 

Please note that authors are personally responsible for the accuracy of their citations. All citations must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th ed. 2010). Please contact us if you have any questions about style or citations.

Student Notes

Unfortunately, we do not accept submissions from students at other law schools. Students at the Yale Law School may submit pieces ateither our late fall or our late spring drop date. The exact drop dates are announced on The Wall. Note submissions should be sent to yjlh.note.submissions@gmail.com.
