Asha Rangappa, Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid
Asha Rangappa graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1996, and from Yale Law School in 2000. In between, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Bogota, Colombia, where she studied Colombian constitutional reform and its impact on U.S. drug policy in the region. During her time at Yale Law School, Asha served as a Coker Fellow for Constitutional Law, participated in the Yale-Chile Linkage Program, and founded Yale Law School's first theater troupe, the Court Jesters. Following law school Asha served as a law clerk for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She then joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent, specializing in counterintelligence investigations in New York City from 2002 until 2005. Asha joined Yale Law School as the Assistant Dean of Admissions in December 2005, becoming Associate Dean in 2007. Asha has been an Adjunct Lecturer in National Security Law at the Henry C. Lee School of Criminal Justice at the University of New Haven and was appointed as a Lecturer at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University for the fall 2013 term.

Craig Janecek, Director of Admissions
Craig is the Director of Admissions and responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Admissions Office.  Additionally, he meets with and counsels prospective and admitted students.  Prior to joining the Law School, he worked in Yale’s Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.  He is an alumnus of Yale College where he majored in psychology with a focus on neurobiology.  When he is not busy reading applications or sending admissions decisions, he enjoys feeding his addictions to music and kitchen gadgetry.  He is still looking for a decent bagel in Connecticut.

Sue Paik, Director of Recruitment
Sue joined Yale Law School in 2012, after practicing intellectual property litigation for several years at Latham & Watkins LLP in her hometown of Chicago.  As the Director of Recruitment, Sue manages outreach to Yale Law applicants and admitted students and coordinates recruitment activities throughout the year, including the March/April admitted students programs.  She is a 2007 graduate of Yale Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Yale Law Journal.  Following law school, Sue remained in the great city of New Haven to clerk for the Honorable John M. Walker, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  She enjoys reading application files and speaking with students and spends her free time cooking, baking, and watching mixed martial arts.  She does not miss the winters in Chicago, but she does miss the hot dogs.
