Sept. 1: Yale begins accepting applications

Sept. 1: Classes begin; we recommend a visit

Dec. 17-Jan 6: Winter break

Feb. Last possible date to take the LSAT

Feb. 15: Last day applications are accepted

March 15: Financial Aid deadline

Mid-April: Most decisions are made by mid- to late April

April 30: Classes end

May 3: Deadline for deposits

Yale Law School receives around 3,400 applications for fewer than 200 spots in the first-year class. Each year we must turn away many well-qualified candidates. Applicants who are not admitted one year often choose to reapply.

Applicants who choose to reapply to the Law School need to follow the same steps that all first-year applicants to the J.D. Program must follow. No materials from prior applications are included in a reapplication and admissions decisions rendered in prior years will have no influence on a new application.
