The Yale Law School Association of New York City-the play ANYTHING GOES

The Yale Law School Association of New York City cordially invites you to attend our latest theater event, the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of Cole Porter's brassy and iconic musical, "Anything Goes." Also planned is a talkback with two Law School graduates with long and deep involvement in American musical theater. The revival stars Tony Award-winning performers Sutton Foster and Joel Grey, and features such Cole Porter standards as "I Get a Kick Out of You," "It's De-Lovely," "You're the Top," and "Let's Do It." We have reserved a block of discounted tickets for the performance of "Anything Goes" on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. The show is playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theater, 124 West 43rd Street, NYC.

We have arranged for two Yale Law School graduates with special ties to the "Anything Goes"—one the co-book writer of the current production and the other the leading authority on Cole Porter—to give a talkback after the performance. John Weidman, YLS Class of 1974, is a celebrated Broadway playwright whose credits include "Pacific Overtures" and "Assassins" (both with Stephen Sondheim) and "Contact" (with Susan Stroman). John is the co-book writer of the current production of "Anything Goes," having adapted and revised the original book with Timothy Crouse in 1987 when the play was presented at Lincoln Center. Robert Kimball, YLS Class of 1967, is a historian of the American musical theater. He is the artistic advisor to the Cole Porter Musical and Literary Property Trusts and the author of "Cole," the definitive Cole Porter biography, and "The Complete Lyrics of Cole Porter."

We have tickets available at $110 (orchestra and front mezzanine) and $96.50 (rear mezzanine). We expect tickets to sell out fast, and we encourage you to place your orders as soon as possible. Given that this YLS theater event will take place during the summer, you may want to invite your YLS summer associates or interns. To order tickets, sign up at www.regonline.com/AnythingGoes2011. All tickets will be held for you at the box office for pick up after Friday, June 10. The Attendance List is available.
