Speakers include:
David E. Meier, Partner, Todd & Weld LLP. David was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to spearhead the investigation and is working to identify cases involving the work of former Chemist, Annie Dookhan; and
William W. Fick ’01, Assistant Federal Public Defender, District of Massachusetts. Bill has handled and continues to handle federal drug cases where the evidence was tested at the state lab as well as cases where enhanced federal sentences were based on prior state drug convictions where the lab is implicated. The discussion will focus on the consequences for past, present, and future state and federal prosecutions involving drugs tested by the state drug lab as well as the collateral consequences.
