Please join us for, what promises to be, another terrific evening of theatre with one of our own, Yale Law School alumnus and producer Eric Falkenstein YLS '94. This one-man show, based on the life of the Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, stars Tony and Emmy Award winner Laurence Fishburne, whose performances have been described in The New York Times as "brilliant," "riveting," and "electrifying." Written by George Stevens, Jr. directed by Leonard Fogalia, and produced by Ostar Productions in association with the Westport Country Playhouse, Thurgood tells the story of this extraordinary man who began life as a child on the backstreets of Baltimore, who worked tirelessly as a lawyer to end racial injustice, and became the first African American Solicitor General of the United States and then the first black person to sit on the United States Supreme Court. Yale Law School Professors Owen Fiss and Dan Kahan, both former Marshall clerks, will participate, among others in the talkback after the performance.
Discounted seats are available for Yale Law School graduates and their guests at $76.50 for Orchestra/Front Mezzanine tickets and $50.00 for Rear Mezzanine tickets. To purchase tickets, please go to http://www.broadwaygetaways.com/packages/packages.taf. Disregard the error message and type the following code into the box: #129333. Names of YLS attendees will be sent to attendees on May 16th so that alums can make pre/post theatre arrangements with their friends.
