Alumni Weekend 2013

Global Constitutionalism

October 4 - 6

Close to twelve hundred YLS graduates and their guests returned to the Law School for Alumni Weekend 2013 to reconnect with classmates and other Law School friends, and to enjoy panel discussions, class events, and meals.

Highlights of the weekend included an early morning run with Professor Ian Ayres ’86; a “Breakfast Connections” event that paired students with alumni; an all-alumni lunch on Saturday, featuring a talk by new Yale President Peter Salovey; and the Award of Merit ceremony on Saturday afternoon, at which former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton ’73 (who was accompanied by President Bill Clinton ’73) accepted the award from Dean Robert Post '77, reminisced in front of an audience of more than two thousand alumni, guests, students, and faculty about her time at the Law School

“Built by Association: Bryan A. Garner's Collection of Inscribed and Autographed Law Books." Bryan A. Garner, the editor of Black's Law Dictionary, has built an impressive collection of law books inscribed by legal luminaries from throughout history. Highlights from his collection will be on display in the Law Library.

Open House in the Rare Book Reading Room, where alumni are welcome to drop by and see selected acquisitions from our collection and meet with our rare book librarian, Mike Widener.
