Papers for "No Slack: The Financial Lives of Low-Income Americans."

By way of background, Barr provided two draft chapters from his forthcoming book, No Slack: The Financial Lives of Low-Income Americans (Brookings Press 2012). Chapter One provides an overview of his empirical study of the behaviors and attitudes of low-income households in the Detroit metropolitan area.  Chapter Eleven (based on joint work with Sendhil Mullainathan and Eldar Shafir) focuses on developing a conceptual approach for consumer financial regulation informed by behavioral economics.
