Frederick S. Gold

Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law
Frederick S. Gold is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. He is Chair of Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s business litigation practice. He practices in the area of complex business litigation, with an emphasis on financial industry clients and intellectual property matters. He has represented hedge funds, lenders, investment partnerships, investors, real estate developers, universities, and public and closely held corporations in matters involving financing agreements, securities claims, antitrust, civil RICO, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, complex foreclosures and restructurings, negotiable instruments, management of institutional funds, lender liability, and claims involving software, source code, trade secrets and copyrights. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts, and in private arbitrations and mediations. He is a graduate of Tufts University and Columbia Law School.
