Linda Greenhouse ’78 MSL Named to List of Outstanding U.S. Journalists by NYU Journalism Faculty
Linda Greenhouse ’78 MSL has been selected one of “The 100 Outstanding Journalists in the United States in the Last 100 Years” by the journalism faculty at New York University, as part of its celebration of the 100th anniversary of journalism education at NYU.
The faculty at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, together with an Honorary Committee of alumni, selected the top journalists from more than 300 nominees and write-ins. The journalists will be honored at a 100th anniversary reception at NYU on April 3.
Greenhouse is the Knight Distinguished Journalist in Residence at Yale Law School and Joseph Goldstein Lecturer in Law. She covered the Supreme Court for The New York Times from 1978 to 2008 and currently writes a biweekly column for The Times on law.
Other distinguished journalists on the list include Hannah Arendt, James Baldwin, Carl Bernstein, Tom Brokaw, Truman Capote, Rachel Carson, Walter Cronkite, Katharine Graham, John Hersey, Walter Lippmann, Edward R. Murrow, Ernie Pyle, Dan Rather, and Bob Woodward.
