Lecture by YLS Dean Robert Post ’77 is First Event in Yale Collaboration with French Universities
Robert C. Post ’77, dean of Yale Law School and the Sol & Lillian Goldman Professor of Law, recently delivered a distinguished lecture at Université de Paris-Panthéon-Assas. His lecture, “Constitutional Protections for Academic Freedom,” was the first co-hosted event by Yale and Panthéon-Assas under the terms of their new Agreement for Collaborative Activities.
The goal of the agreement, signed in June 2011, is to create an environment for long-term joint research, exchange and programming activities between Yale, Panthéon–Assas and the École Normale Supérieure.
“Yale’s engagement in Europe has never been stronger, thanks, in part, to collaborations with wonderful partners like Panthéon-Assas,” notes James Cohen, assistant secretary for the Yale Office of International Affairs, who helped broker the agreement.
