Dean Koh to Testify on NSA Surveillance
Koh, the Gerard C. and Bernice Latrobe Smith Professor of International Law, former Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, and former Attorney-Adviser, Office of Legal Counsel, Department of Justice, is one of several experts and legal scholars scheduled to appear before the Committee.
Next Tuesday's hearing follows a day-long questioning on February 6 by Committee members of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
In January this year, fourteen constitutional law scholars and former government officials, among them Dean Koh, signed a letter to Congress expressing concern over the Bush Administration's National Security Agency domestic spy program. The letter was published in the New York Review of Books. In February, a second letter followed.
