Professor Bruce Ackerman on NPR’s Talk of the Nation

Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science Bruce Ackerman was a guest on National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. Prof. Ackerman spoke about the nature of conspiracy charges, the use of pre-emptive arrests, and the protection of civil liberties during times of war.

Prof. Ackerman is the author of over a dozen books that have had a broad influence on political philosophy, constitutional law, and public policy. His most recent book, Before the Next Attack (Yale University Press, 2006), focuses on protecting civil liberties in the wake of terrorist attacks.
