H.E. Stuart Beck
Visiting Lecturer in Law
H.E. Stuart Beck is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and has served as Palau’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations since 2004. During his tenure, he has led several successful environmental initiatives and is a founding member of the Ambassadors for Responsibility on Climate Change. Ambassador Beck practiced law from 1971 to 1987 in Washington, D.C., and New York City. He graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School. While at Yale, he was the chairman of the Thomas Swann Barrister’s Union and winner of the John Currier Gallagher Prize.
