Justin Levitt

Visiting Associate Professor of Law (spring term)
Justin Levitt is a Visiting Associate Professor of Law at Yale Law School and an Associate Professor of Law at Loyola Law School. A national expert in election law, with particular focus on election administration and redistricting, Professor Levitt has testified before committees of the U.S. Senate and several state legislative bodies, and his research has been cited extensively in the media and the courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also served in various capacities for several presidential campaigns. Before joining the faculty of Loyola Law School in 2010, he was counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. He holds a B.A. from Harvard College and a law degree and masters in public administration from Harvard Law School. He attended the Universität zu Köln, Germany, on a Fulbright Scholarship. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
