James Ponet is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. His subject is Judaism. He is the Executive Director of the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale, Director of the Yale Hillel Foundation, and Jewish Chaplain at Yale. He is the author of the book On Reading David Hartman. He received a B.A. from Yale, and an M.A. and a D.D. from Hebrew Union College.
