Mattias Kumm

Florence Rogatz Visiting Professor of Law (fall term)
Mattias Kumm is a Florence Rogatz Visiting Professor of Law and the Inge Rennert Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. He holds a joint appointment as Research Professor of “Rule of Law in the Age of Globalization” at the WZB, Social Science Research Center, Berlin, and at Humboldt University, Berlin. He is a founding editor and editor in chief of Global Constitutionalism (Cambridge University Press) and is on the board of several other journals. His research focuses on basic issues in comparative constitutional law, European Union law, international law, and legal philosophy. Kumm has studied at Germany’s Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, and holds a J.S.D. from Harvard.
