Sidney H. Stein

Visiting Lecturer in Law
Judge Sidney H. Stein is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York since 1995. From 1981 through 1995, he was a founding partner in Stein, Zauderer, Ellenhorn, Frischer & Sharp, and from 1974 to 1981, he was an attorney with the firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He graduated with an A.B. degree from Princeton University and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a member of The Yale Law Journal. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Stanley H. Fuld, Chief Judge of the State of New York and Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals.
