Other Human Rights Fellowships

In addition to the one-year Bernstein Fellowships, many fellowship opportunities are available for students during the summer and after graduation:

• The Kirby Simon Summer Fellowships provide funding for students who wish to work for a human rights organization for at least six weeks in the summer.  More about the Kirby Simon Summer Fellowships…

• The Cover/Lowenstein Fellowship is a two-year, post-graduate position at the Law School for lawyers with international human rights experience who are interested in preparing for a career in human rights practice or clinical teaching. This Fellow helps supervise the Allard K. Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic and coordinates activities of the Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights. • The Schell Fellows are post-graduates and scholars who are invited to spend a period of time at the Law School engaged in human rights work and research as part of the Law School community.  There is no formal application process and the Schell Center does not provide support for these Fellows.

• The Schell Center and the Law School’s Career Development Office sponsor many panels, workshops, and meetings during the school year to help students find fellowships.
