A native of Perú, Enrique Pasquel teaches law and economics and property at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. His research interests are in the areas of law and economics, property and natural resources, regulatory and administrative law and economic development. His law degree is from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he was professor of law. He is candidate to a master's degree in law from Yale Law School where he is a Fulbright scholar. He is a former Commissioner of Indecopi, the Peruvian competition agency. He also worked at Hernando de Soto's Institute for Liberty and Democracy, doing research and consultancy on property, regulation and poverty in different developing countries.
