Summer Visiting Scholars Arrive at Yale Law School to Conduct Comparative Research on Government Torts
On July 24, Ms. Zhou Min, Vice-Director of the State Law Department of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee Legal Affairs Commission, and Ms. Tan Yu, staff member of the Constitutional Law Department of the NPC LAC, arrived at Yale Law School for a five-week research visit. As visiting scholars at the China Law Center, Ms. Zhou and Ms. Tan will conduct comparative research on the legal framework for handling government torts and related administrative law issues. The NPC is currently working on revising China’s State Compensation Law, which was originally passed in 1994. For several issues under discussion in the SCL revisions, see China’s Legal Daily.
