New Visiting Scholars from China Arrive at Yale Law School for the Fall Term
The China Law Center warmly welcomes four new visiting scholars from China for the Fall 2007 term. Professor He Haibo of Tsinghua University Law School will spend the 2007-2008 academic year at Yale conducting research on judicial review and constitutional reform. Dr. Teng Biao, Lecturer at the China University of Political Science and Law and a lawyer at the Beijing Huayi Law Firm, will spend a semester at Yale conducting research on constitutional law and public interest litigation. Dr. Wu Zongxian, Professor of Law at the College of Criminal Law Science at Beijing Normal University, will investigate alternatives to incarceration and community corrections from September to November 2007. Ms. Zhao Wenmei, principal staff member at the Administrative Reconsideration Department, Office of Legislative Affairs of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, will spend two months at Yale researching procedures for the use of mediation in administrative adjudication.
