China Law Center Senior Fellows Assess Recent Constitutional Reform Developments in China

In an article published in the January 17 issue of China Brief, Senior Fellows Tom Kellogg and Keith Hand summarize key events in China’s recent constitutional development and assess prospects for the establishment of a transparent and concrete mechanism for constitutional review.  While concluding that significant progress on such a mechanism is unlikely in the near term, the authors note ways in which constitutional law scholarship and citizen constitutional claims may be building foundations for future reform progress.
