New Visiting Scholars from China Arrive at Yale Law School for the Spring Term
The China Law Center warmly welcomes two new visiting scholars from China for the Spring 2008 term. Dr. Dan Wei, professor and senior researcher at the Institute of Procuratorial Theory of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal Chinese Legal Science, will conduct comparative research on arrest and detention procedures and standards for pre-trial release of criminal suspects. Dr. Sun Zhongxin, an associate professor of sociology at Fudan University in Shanghai, will spend the semester at Yale researching issues related to gender equity and the law. Professors Dan and Sun will join He Haibo of Tsinghua University Law School, who is spending the 2007-2008 academic year at Yale conducting research on judicial review and constitutional reform.
