With support from
the MacArthur Foundation, the Information Society Project at Yale Law School has launched a new research
initiative to advance understanding of knowledge ecologies in comparative
perspective. Yale ISP is collaborating with A2K Global Academy partners to produce a
series of country reports exploring A2K issues in diverse sectors.
The initial seven
countries selected for the A2K research series are: Brazil, China,
Egypt, Ethiopia, India,
Russia, and South Africa. More countries may be added to the series if
additional funding becomes available.
The seven country reports will be published between mid 2008 and late
2009.
The first book in the series has already been completed. Access to Knowledge in Brazil: New Research on Intellectual Property, Innovation and Development is available in print and as a free download.
