China Law Center Welcomes Delegation of Chinese Judges

From April 21 to 29, the China Law Center hosted a delegation of Chinese judges interested in reforming sentencing procedures. The group met with judges, lawyers, probation officers and prosecutors in Boston, New Haven and New York. On April 24, during a special session of the Workshop on Chinese Legal Reform and the Comparative Sentencing Seminar, the group presented their own thoughts about the state of sentencing in China, and their own courts’ efforts to improve the fairness and efficiency of sentencing.
