Jake Gardener

Jake Gardener is a 3L and is returning to Yale after working as a firefighter in New York City for the past three years.  Jake has been an ISP fellow since 2009 and has been assisting ISP Executive Director Laura DeNardis with research for her upcoming book, Technologies of Dissent.  Jake's research focuses on the impact of technology on free speech, political protest, government transparency, privacy and campaign finance disclosure. 
 
Jake is a senior editor of the Yale Law and Policy Review and serves on the Moot Court Board.  He spent his 1L summer interning at the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and his 2L summer working at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. 
 
Jake graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors from Stanford University in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science.  After Stanford, he worked in public relations and management consulting.  He is originally from Boston, Massachusetts.
