Lea Bishop Shaver
Lea Shaver is an Associate Research Scholar and Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. She is affiliated to the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, where she directs the research program in Access to Knowledge. Her research interests include intellectual property, human rights, and Internet law. Ms. Shaver is the editor of Access to Knowledge in Brazil: New Research on Intellectual Property, Innovation and Development and the co-editor of Access to Knowledge in Egypt: New Research on Intellectual Property, Innovation and Development, forthcoming from Bloomsbury Academic. Prior to joining the faculty at Yale Law School she was a Fulbright Scholar to South Africa, where she contributed to socio-economic rights litigation efforts at the University of Witwatersrand Law School's Centre for Applied Legal Studies. Ms. Shaver holds bachelor's and master's degrees in the social sciences from the University of Chicago, as well as a J.D. from Yale Law School.
