Patrick Kabat

Patrick Kabat is a Fellow of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School and was the Program Director of the Knight Law & Media Program at Yale Law School, where he co-founded a legal services clinic that focused on media law and the First Amendment, representing journalists in First Amendment and Freedom of Information Act litigationto assertthe public's right to government information before regulatory agencies and instate and federal courts. Mr. Kabat is a Director of the Tremont West Development Corporation and a former trustee of Colgate University, where he served as vice chair of the Academic and Faculty Affairs Committee. Currently a law clerk in the chambers of the Honorable James S. Gwin, Mr. Kabat has spoken on the changing landscape of journalists' legal rights at conferences and public interest summitsand is editor of a forthcomingbook on media business models entitled "Subsidize This Book."
