Regina's career started thirty years ago, as a theater actress and later as a TV actress and host.  Her work is known for innovative character, and also for their well known quality, being always critic success and reaching huge audiences of millions of people.
 
Regina created her first show in 2001 for the educational network "TV FUTURA".  The show "Um Pé de Quê?" ("A Tree of What?) is produced by Pindorama Filmes, owned by Estevão Ciavatta and of which Regina is a creative executive.  Pindorama Filmes is also involved in many other productions on topics such as citizenship, environmental issues and social responsibility.
 
Known for always being in the vanguard of television production, in 2004, Regina begun hosting shows of extreme importance to the Brazilian TV.  With "Brasil Total" ("Total Brazil"), "Central da Periferia" ("Central of the Periphery") and "Minha Periferia" ("My Periphery"), Regina provided a space and voice to the cultural production of the favelas ("shantytowns") and peripheries of Brazil.  Winner of important prizes such as the APCA, these shows brought awareness to cultural manifestations that had never been seen on TV before and most importantly they disclosed portion of Brazil that in spite of being huge, was not known by the public, raising questions and pointing new paths to many social issues.  Following the success in Brazil, the show "Central da Periferia" ("Central of the Periphery") was expanded to Angola, Mexico and France. Sixteen weekly shows were produced, always focusing on culture, problems and solutions of the world's urban peripheries.
