The China Law Center, established at Yale Law School in 1999, has two important missions:
  • to assist the law and policy reform process within China, and
  • to increase understanding of China within the United States.

The Center carries out research and teaching, promotes exchange with government officials, leading scholars, lawyers and reformers in China, and undertakes cooperative projects on important issues in Chinese law and policy reform.
