Gabrielle Marceau, Ph.D. is counsellor in the Cabinet of the WTO Director General Pascal Lamy since September 2005.  In September 1994, she joined the Legal Affairs Division of the GATT/WTO where her main function was to advise panelists in WTO disputes.  Gabrielle Marceau is also Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva where she teaches on WTO law.  Before joining the GATT/WTO Gabrielle Marceau worked in private practice in Canada, mainly in the sectors of labour law and insurance law.  Dr. Marceau has published extensively, namely in WTO related matters.
