Technical Services Mission Statement


Mission of Technical Services
The Technical Services division supports Lillian Goldman Law Library's mission of service to teaching and research by acquiring and processing resources in all formats, providing and maintaining access to collections, conservation and accounting for expenditures. The Technical Services division is dedicated to promoting the creative use of staff talent and technology to deliver excellent service to Library colleagues and ultimately the faculty, students and researchers who use the Library's collections.


Guiding Principals
Understand the changing information needs of users.
Understand the changes and trends in legal publishing, cataloging and serials control.
Promote effect and honest communication among the staff and with vendors.
Respond to changing technology with flexibility and adaptability.
Process orders, receipts, and payments accurately and in the most timely, efficient manner.

Provide innovative processing service to meet the needs of our patrons.
