Marshall Huebner ’93 to Discuss AIG Rescue on February 9
Huebner is co-head of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Insolvency and Restructuring Group. He has worked on a wide range of domestic and international restructurings and bankruptcies, representing both financial institutions and corporate entities. He serves as counsel to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the U.S. Department of Treasury on the AIG bailout. He also acted as lead bankruptcy and restructuring counsel to Delta Air Lines in one of the largest and most successful restructurings in U.S. history. Recently, he testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law on how to restructure the Bankruptcy Code.
Huebner is widely recognized as a leader in his field and is one of only five U.S. lawyers to have been twice named a “Dealmaker of the Year” by The American Lawyer. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law and a member of the National Bankruptcy Conference.
He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, where we was awarded Fulbright and Rotary Scholarships. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a Ford Foundation Fellow and senior editor of The Yale Law Journal.
