Former CT Gubernatorial Candidates Tom Foley and Ned Lamont to Debate Connecticut’s Budget Crisis

How bad is the Connecticut state budget? Are powerful state employee unions to blame or just a scapegoat for broader problems? 2010 Republican gubernatorial nominee Tom Foley and 2010 Democratic candidate Ned Lamont will address those and other questions in a debate Monday, April 4, at Yale Law School titled “Is Connecticut Wisconsin?”

The 30-minute debate, to be followed by student questions, will be moderated by WNPR news director John Dankosky and taped for later broadcast on WNPR. It begins at 6:10 p.m. in Room 127 of the Law School and is open to the public. Dinner will be served. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to wade.gibson@yale.edu.

The event is sponsored by the American Constitution Society, Federalist Society, Yale Law Democrats, Yale Law Republicans, Yale College Democrats, and Yale College Republicans.
