Panel Discussion of the Roberts Nomination Available Online
September 14, 2005

As Senators on Capitol Hill questioned Supreme Court Chief Justice Nominee John G. Roberts Jr., a panel of YLS professors mooted the questions behind the questions. Moderator Kenji Yoshino introduced the panel with four topics of discussion: "The confirmation process and whether it is working, first of all; second, the role of chief justice of the court relative to the associate justices; third, the substantive directions that Roberts could take the court; and fourth and finally, the directions the court could take after Judge Roberts."

To hear the professors' thoughts on these topics, as well as the wide ranging discussion that followed, you can watch a video of the panel online.
