Yale Law School is hosting a slate of panel discussions about global issues in conjunction with its Alumni Weekend 2004. Many of the events are free and open to the public.

Three events on Friday, October 8, 2004, will focus on the areas of greatest concern in international law. At 10:00 a.m. Paul Gewirtz, the Potter Stewart Professor of Constitutional Law, will moderate a discussion with supreme court justices from three nations about "Terrorism and the Rule of Law: The Challenge for Global Constitutionalism." The justices are Aharon Barak of the Supreme Court of Israel, Frank Iacobucci of the Supreme Court of Canada, and Delia Revoredo Marsano of the Constitutional Court of Peru.
Yale Law School Dean Harold Hongju Koh will moderate a discussion at 3:00 p.m. with five judges and former judges of "Judging International Law." Koh will also host a "Global Conversation" at 8:15 p.m., with Carla A. Hills '58, Chairman and CEO, Hills & Company, International Consultants, former U.S. Trade Representative, and former Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and Robert E. Rubin '64, Chairman of the Executive Committee & Member of the Office of the Chairman, Citigroup, Inc., and former Secretary of the Department of the Treasury.
A series of panels on Saturday, October 9, will consider the topic "How Should a Yale Law School Education Address Global Issues?"
