Memorial Service for Prof. Burke Marshall, September 21, at New Haven Lawn Club
Yale Law School will hold a memorial service for Burke Marshall '51 on Sunday, September 21, 2003, at 2:30 p.m., at the New Haven Lawn Club.

Marshall was a pivotal figure in the civil rights movement in the early 1960s, when he served as the head of the civil rights division in Robert Kennedy's Department of Justice, and later was a beloved member of the Yale Law School faculty. He was the Nicholas deB. Katzenbach Professor Emeritus of Law when he died in June 2003 at the age of 80.
Speakers offering remembrances at the event will include Marshall's colleagues, friends, and students.
