Conference Honoring Mirjan Damaška Oct. 31 – Nov. 1
The event, attended by some of the leading legal scholars in the United States, will begin with welcoming remarks by Dean Harold Hongju Koh on Friday at 2:00 p.m. A panel discussion on Evidence will follow. Professor Damaška will then be honored at a reception with the leaders of his first faculty at University of Zagreb, Croatia. Friday evening’s dinner will celebrate his role as a teacher and will feature toasts from his students.
Saturday’s panel discussions will focus on Professor Damaška scholarly work in Comparative Procedure, International Criminal Law, and Theory of Comparative Law. Each session will be structured around a paper, with associated commentary and discussion. The conference concludes Saturday evening with a gala dinner and program at the Quinnipiack Club, where Professor Damaška will be toasted by faculty and friends for his role as an academic and colleague.
