Ben Heineman ’71 Discusses Performance with Integrity Dec. 2
Ben Heineman is Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Distinguished Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School’s Program on the Legal Profession, and Senior Counsel at the law firm WilmerHale. He served as GE’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel from 1987-2003 and then its Senior Vice President for Law and Public Affairs until his retirement at the end of 2005. Prior to GE, he served as assistant secretary for policy at the Department of Health, Education and Welfare and practiced constitutional law.
A Rhodes Scholar, Heineman holds a B.A. from Harvard, a B Litt from Oxford, and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was editor of the Yale Law Journal. His book, High Performance with High Integrity, was published in June 2008.
