Understanding the Financial Crisis Part II, Feb. 17 at YLS
This latest panel discussion, titled “Understanding the Financial Crisis; Part II: The Stimulus, Bailouts, and Other Solutions,” will be held Tuesday, February 17, at 7 p.m. in the Yale Law School auditorium.
Taking part will be:
• John Geanakoplos, James Tobin Professor of Economics
• Jonathan Macey ’82, Deputy Dean of Yale Law School and Sam Harris Professor of Corporate Law, Corporate Finance, and Securities Law
• William Nordhaus, Sterling Professor of Economics
• Robert Shiller, Arthur M. Okun Professor of Economics
Richard C. Levin, President of Yale University and Frederick William Beinecke Professor of Economics, will moderate the discussion, which will focus on both the short-term solutions to the financial crisis and long-term changes that are inevitable and necessary in the financial industry. Individual presentations by the panelists will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
