Allyson Bennett '13 and Connor Sullivan '13 Take Top Prizes in Moot Court Finals
The Spring 2012 Thurman Arnold Prize Finals of the Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals were held on April 24, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Levinson Auditorium before the Honorable John Paul Stevens, the Honorable Diane Wood (Seventh Circuit), and the Honorable Brett Kavanaugh (D.C. Circuit). The final round case was Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin. Representing the petitioner were Pete Huffman '12 and Kasdin Miller '12. Allyson Bennett '13 and Connor Sullivan '13 represented the respondent.
The Potter Stewart Prize for best overall written and oral advocacy went to the respondents, Allyson Bennett and Connor Sullivan, and the Thurman Arnold Prize for best oralist was awarded to Allyson Bennett.
In addition, the Benjamin N. Cardozo prizes for best briefs submitted during the 2011-2012 Moot Court competitions were awarded to Jariel Rendell '12 and Tyce Walters '13.
