Information Technology

Computer and network resources are essential to the study of law in the modern, globalized world.

Yale Law School provides students with Internet access (wired access at every classroom seat and wireless access in common areas); secure file storage on Law School servers; access to a computer cluster, computer classroom, and laser printers; a full suite of productivity software; legal online database accounts, and all the resources of the Yale University and Yale Law School libraries.

The Law School expects each student to have a laptop computer, and offers a laptop purchasing program for incoming students.

The Information Technology office maintains the Law School's central computing resources and also provides individual support to students, faculty, and staff.

Read the advice for incoming students from the IT department for more information.
