Students with Families
Spouses and same-sex partners of current students are eligible for a Student Affiliate I.D. Card, which gives access to many University resources, such as the gym, the shuttle bus, the library, and the museums.
New Haven is a family-friendly city with many activities and programs directed primarily at children and their families.
The YLS Early Learning Center, an independently operated childcare center, is located right in the Law School building. It is open all year round, and the children of Yale Law School faculty, staff, and students have priority in the assignment of spaces. The Law School also makes loans available to cover the Center's tuition for students on financial aid.
The WorkLife Program at Yale provides information and advice about other childcare options at the University and in the New Haven area.
