Counseling
CDO's three attorney-counselors are available to discuss your career goals and aspirations, provide advice on resumes and cover letters and discuss the job search process. Together Terri BryantMarilyn Drees, and Kelly Voight  offer law students and alumni a full range of legal employment experience. Each counselor has areas of concentration: Terri - public interest, government and law teaching; Kelly - private sector; Marilyn - judicial clerkships and fellowships. All the counselors, however, are willing and able to work with people who have different career interests, at any stage of their careers.

Making a Counseling Appointment
Yale Law students and alumni may schedule individual counseling appointments by calling 203-432-1676, or by signing up at the CDO reception desk. In order to upload your resume to our Career Management System before your counseling appointment, click here.

Attention First-year Students
First-year students may not schedule individual counseling appointments at CDO until after November 1 and may not contact employers to apply for job opportunities until December 1. However, first-year students may attend all educational programs offered by CDO. This schedule was designed to allow new students time to become acclimated to law school and comfortable with their studies. CDO’s policy comports with the National Association of Law Placement standards and the Yale Law Faculty policy.
